The Long Run is the sixth studio album from inimitable country rock pioneers the Eagles. The first album without Randy Meisner and with Timothy B Schmidt, it's more compilation than concept. Hits like 'Heartache Tonight' and 'The Long Run' represent the band's roots well, but it's in deeper cuts like 'The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks' and 'In The City' where the truly eclectic nature of the record is revealed. The latter is actually a Joe Walsh solo single re-recorded for the album, and is possibly the best song on it.

180 gram reissue pressing.
