The Americana Collection from Bayou Records Australia is a curated category dedicated to Americana albums. 

Americana is wide-ranging musical genre. It can feature everything from Heartland Rock to Roots to Delta Blues. It's a true sub-genre in that it picks up on an ideal rather than a very specific sound. Often, artists will do an album which fits the genre, but is distinct from the rest of their canon. Bruce Springsteen's work with the Sessions Band to rearrange his own songs in a Rootsy form is good example of this.
