John Mayer - Paradise Valley (LP)

Paradise Valley is one of John Mayer's best and simultaneously most under-appreciated albums. It's an Americana masterpiece. Full of Country, Bluegrass, Folk and Blues Rock movements that belong among the best that has ever graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. It's Mayer's 6th studio album, recorded in 2013, and as such shows a musical maturity that was missing from the flippancy of his early records. "Wildfire" is a Country Rock summertime campfire anthem dripping with Deep South Delta Blues sensibilities. "Dear Marie" is a Country / Folk track that Willie Nelson would be proud to have written; and "Call Me The Breeze" is a face-bending Blues Rock saturated cover of the JJ Cale classic. If you have to ask why this album is best heard on vinyl, you don't understand vinyl or music.
