It was released in the United States in January 1969 on Epic Records, and in the United Kingdom in March 1969 on Pye Records in stereo. Donovan's Greatest Hits peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200, and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. This record marked the high point of Donovan's popularity in both the United States and United Kingdom.
