Elton John's second release of 1970, Tumbleweed Connection, stands apart in his discography as the only album not to produce an international hit song. Despite many suggesting it was influenced by Elton and Bernie Taupin visiting America for the first time, in fact it was written mostly before they ever went there. Bernie has since revealed it was influenced most heavily by The Band's Music From Big Pink.
Interestingly, of all Elton's work, it's probably the least Blues or Country sounding. It's probably his most pure Singer-Songwriter record.
This limited edition Aqua coloured special release vinyl is a must have for collectors!
