Elton John - Elton John (Limited Coloured 180gm LP)

Elton John's self titled album was neither his debut, nor the only one he released in 1970. Nevertheless, it did announce his arrival and has always stood alone in his discography for it's uniqueness. 

Many have tried, and most have failed to classify Elton's work. This album is enigmatic and eclectic. "Your Song" is one of the most beautiful ballads ever written. "Take Me To The Pilot" is an almost psychedelic pop song and "No Shoe Strings On Louise" belongs among the best of British Blues Rock invasion. Yet, Elton is most remembered for his pioneering of the Singer-Songwriter genre. 

Get in vinyl, as it was intended to be heard, and decide for yourself where it belongs.
