Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country (Marbled Earth Coloured LP)

Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bayou Country, in many ways, is the album that got Bayou Records Australia started. That's a story for another time. Suffice to say, the sound that John Fogerty and co created on this record awakened something in us, as it did in millions of others. 

Just their second studio album under the name CCR, Bayou Country features some of their most sophisticated song writing. "Proud Mary" is CCR's most famous song - and it was a hit for them some time before Ike and Tina covered it. 

But the real star of this album is "Born On The Bayou" - the definitive Swamp Rock song. The song that perfectly encapsulates who CCR are.
