Bruce Springsteen — Greetings From Asbury Park N J (LP)

Before the arenas, before the mythology, there was this — a twenty-three-year-old from the Jersey Shore tumbling words onto tape like a man who couldn't stop them fast enough. Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. is Springsteen's 1973 debut, and it remains one of rock's most electric opening statements: vivid street-corner characters, hymn-like verses, and a hunger that no amount of polish could fake. This 2015 Sony Legacy repress brings it home on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl, faithfully recreating the original sleeve. From the breathless rush of "Blinded by the Light" to the moody tenderness of "For You", it still sounds like a discovery.
