Billy Joel - Turnstiles (LP)

Billy Joel’s Turnstiles marked his return to New York, and many tracks reflect this personal journey. From hits like "New York State of Mind" to deep cuts like "Summer, Highland Falls." "Angry Young Man" defined a whole new sub-genre of prog rock; piano rock. "Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out On Broadway) is a fascinatingly dystopian look at New York's potential future. It's also one of the best Prog Rock songs of the 70s. Turnstiles showcases Joel's growth as a songwriter, blending rock, pop, and jazz influences. It was just his fourth album, but it's arguably his best. Obviously, it's best heard in it's original format - vinyl.
